one is more curvy. Is that just the look, or does it sound better? more expensive? what's the difference?

Hard to tell by looking at pictures. The price isn't as telling to the quality as a person might think. I refuse to buy acoustics online because the quality of them varies SO much.

You can go to your local music store and find what you want there. In your price range and whatnot. THEN look up that brand online and see if you can beat the price.

Most good music stores will match the price you find online. You can look at www.musiciansfriend. com and they have some very reasonably priced acoustics. Shop around at your local stores and THEN compare online... so you have a price to quote them at the store, ok?

Well, you have to try the sound of both of them, cuz you can have a crappy looking guitar that sounds better than any Martin on the market...

Yes. All different guitar brands produce guitars that do not look identical to others.
