PUNISHMENT*

No. Capital punishment is morally wrong. An eye for an eye is barbaric. There are FAR worse fates than death - and besides, they die at the end of it anyway.

It would also be impossible to restore capital punishment and remain in the EU, as it is against EU law, which overrides British law. Britain would also get international condemnation, further ostracising us from anyone except america.

With the 'exception' of the US, only the most barbaric and backward countries still have the death penalty, banana republics, China, Saudi Arabia, Iran...

No! Capital punishment is not a punishment at all, it sets the criminal free.
Down with capital punishment let the criminal suffer for many years to come in a small cell with nothing to do but reflect on the crime. Only water and a bowl of rice fortified with vitamins for food to keep him/her healthy.
