Why did ray go through? he no pop star. He would have been great if he were around in the 1950's

well i agree....I think Ray was cool but not as good as Ben, better for musicals and stuff.I am gutted hopefully Ben will get a career in music anyway coz he rocks

Both ray and leona have had professional coaching. ray was signed at an agency for acting, leona has had a singing coach, goes to a top drama school and has even recorded a cd. with this kind of opposition what hope did Ben or any of the others have??
It is supposed to be for amateurs that might never get the opportunity anywhere else. chances are the other two would have done alright anyway.
I hope that we have not seen the last of Ben or any of the others that have been on this year, there has been some great talent on this year, inc, Robert, Mac bros, Eaton Road etc.

Can I just say I was very very disappointed with Leona's ridiculous and stupidly over the top but also out of tune not quite going with the music 2 performances last night but she dd the whole i am singing for a dead child thing so that got the sympathy vote I thought Ray did good singing a song for Liverpool very clever and I am gutted Ben got kicked out but I really hope next week Leona sings a song for a man and just a brilliant job like could it be magic. When she sings a Christine/Whitney/whoever the hell else song she sings it just like them. We already have a Whitney a Mariah and a Christina so she should learn to become an individual and I hope in the next week she grows some kind of personality she is just sooooo mundane and I am BOOOOOOOORED with all the acting shy and warbling business go Ray and Kick some BUTT!

No idea! less people might have voted for Ben to go through. I never wanted Ray through. Its not fair 2 be honest. I want Leona or Ben 2 win the Xfactor. Poor Ben! I wanted him 2 win! Ray, im sorry but u r not a popstar! u cant sing mate but u r a good entertainer though!

Don't agree cross_sox, according to newspapers and the media machine in general, Ben fronts a band, so how did the other two have an advantage over him or the others. Lets face it he's an arrogant s*d, he had been coached by Ozzy Osbourne as well this week, and he still didn't get through to the final. That says to me that he hasn't got the xfactor, where as Ray has, and I believe he will win because it will be the girls voting, and that will be so unfair because Leona really is superb.

Ben and Leona are stage school kids. They;ve spent years training for this type of thing, Ben was just a bloke who put up tenst for a living and dossed about in bands, so didn't know how to work a TV audience. He's also too old for the pre-teens that tend to spend big money voting for their favourite.
I think winning would have been the death knell for Ben's career anyway. If the rubbish compulsory songs he'd have to release didn't kill him the stress would. He was falling apart as it was.
Hope Ray wins now, only because I can't bear Leona's dead eyes and ballad mongery. We have one Mariah Carery, and that's too much.

Basically I put it down to the fact that it's because Ben didn't turn on the water works like the other two.
I really liked Ben and really wanted to see him in the final with Leona.
I hate Ray so much, he can only sing one type of song. I really can't imagine him getting far as a popstar, he'llbe doing all the Nursin Home gigs ;-)

firstly i would like to agree with hayleighs comments on leona...... so borin..... its old now, but why did ben go?......... quite simply, he recieved the least votes, cos ray is soooooo much better, he went a bit rubbish in the middle but the last couple of weeks has stormed it and ben has got weaker by far, dont get me wrong i loved him and thought he was great and really thought he would make the final and that ray would go last night but he was excellent and ben was pants so wasnt entirely surprised seeing that ben has been bottom 2 for the last 2 weeks

Well Ray will be gone in the final Leona had it in the bag from the start. I did like Ben though and cant stand kids of Ray's age doing the all too grown-up and old fashioned songs or dressed in mens suits!
