they hang out tucked away deep underground in an ant hill. They have food stored up for the winter months. They make baby ants. And also when temps get really cold they sort of hibernate until things warm up. but they cant do that for long

i think they have a food storage in the nest then they stay in the nest until spring and no they couldnt all die b/c then were would all the ants in spring come from?
