when i go to to gym, it says " CANT USE CUT WITHOUT A GYM BADGE. " but..How can i get the gym badge if i cant use cut? LOL..Need answers.

You need to head back to Cerculean City gym and defeat Misty. Make sure you have a electric or grass type aganist her and when you defeat her you'll get the casscade badge and the ability to use the HM Cut. Head back to Vermillion city and press A in front of the tree and you'll be able to knock it down and proceed to the gym.

i think you make something wrong,which gym are you at now,did you beat the gym in cerulean city which allows you to use cut after you beat the gym,and only the third gym need cut to proceed so i guess that you are at the gym with the boat(i think it is ANNE S.S),so if you still have not beaten misty which is the second gym go for it she got only a staryu and a starmie,it is easy to defeat she.

well my friend were there is a will there is a way. there is a longer way around there to get to the gym. Thats just a shortcut
