when ever i go into my hot mail or a search engine it says internet exp has a problem and i closes down any ideas??????????????????????????????????

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customizable to suit your need and no problems.

Tricky, as it sounds like spyware to me or bad disk sector, or a bad install.
Get Firefox, it's far, far better than IE anyway,
Then get spybot and adaware
Then do a chkdsk and defrag,

this sounds like either corrupted settings or a virus i recommend that you use another browser like firefox or opera
But if you absolutely need IE , uninstall reboot , and reinstall
