Do you know of one of the many things that you can do to make a difference in the lives of the unborn? Ask your OB/GYN if he/she will perform an abortion for a friend who wants to avoid going to an abortion "clinic"...if he/she says yes, find another doctor, and when you leave the doctor that performs abortions, TELL HIM/HER WHY...encourage your like-minded friends to do the same. You can even leave your doctor if any of the other doctors at that practice perform abortions. It's called voting with your dollars and you have every right to do it. This is just one thing you can do if you're just not ready to "take the fight to the streets" yet. You can not only actively work against abortion, you can refuse to support it in many different ways. When doctors see business and the associated dollar signs $$$ walking out the door, they may just have second thoughts and discontinue killing babies by abortion.
Any comments, positive or negative, about this course of action are welcomed. :-)

Just to clarify, I'm suggesting that you discontinue going to your doctor if he/she performs abortions. Many doctors do abortions in their private practice, and you not only have a right to know that, but you have a right to choose another doctor that does not do that.
Also, make sure that your new doctors does not perform abortions before taking your business to them.

What does it have to do with judgment? Aren't you judging pro-life women for standing up for what they believe in by refusing to give their business to doctors who do something that they are morally opposed to? If you ask me, YOU are the ones who are being judgmental.
AND, the Question was not directed to you who advocate the availability of "abortion on demand". It was directed to those who believe that life begins at conception.

Obviously, this suggestion is for those who are already pro-life or who are struggling with it on the inside and find that making choices based on principles adds to the dignity of their daily lives.
Additionally, I would never suggest that a woman choose her doctor based SOLELY on whether he does abortions. Obviously, once you've found one who doesn't do abortions, make sure that he has the proper credentials, that you feel trust, and that you're comfortable with his personality, etc.
I know some people who pick a doctor based on the gender of the doctor, or even on something as superficial as the doctor's race or national origin. I can't imagine why someone would object to a woman choosing her OWN doctor based on a closely and dearly held moral belief. I would hope that a woman's "right to choose" holds true for other choices besides the right to choose an abortion.
