if you have a background for an artist, then you suddenly have insight into the crappy song. and it makes it not so crappy. like, maybe that person is a real jokester, and now you realize the song was just trying to be funny or something. or you can relate it to their other music and appreciate the evolution of their art.

I heard a song one time that I thought was stupid, but ended up loving it when I actaully listened to the lyrics. Who sang the song didn't matter, I just had to listen to the whole thing.

I really dont know. I think its because u like who sings it so much, that u think u have to like everything that band/singer has done. Like i really liked this 1 song and i had no idea who it was by, then 1 did i found out and i hated it! cuz i hated who it was by. good guestion.

yup- only i hear a song, then my friend says, "omg i luv this song", then i like it.. then hate it again 3 days later. same with some clothes.
