To Sir With Love, starring Sidney Poitier 1967. This is a great film and a definite classic. Poitier plays an american that goes to London and ends up getting a teaching job @ an East End School, where the kids are horrible. He ends up teaching them some great life lessons, with some very touching scenes and cool music from that era. A real heart tugger!

There are an impressive variety of action pictures that have been made in the previous 1970 that are between my favorites, yet for the sake of simplicity i will in uncomplicated terms call one: "Dr. Strangelove (or: How I discovered to end annoying and Love the Bomb"). "Dr. Strangelove" is an quite humorous action picture with the help of Stanley Kubrick. An occasion of a "Black Comedy," the action picture made devestating relaxing of the potential for a nuclear conflict between the USA and the Soviet Union which might "end existence as all of us comprehend it on planet Earth." In that 1964 action picture, Kubrick proves that there's no undertaking which won't be in a position to be made the article of humor.

Anything with Cary Grant or Gene Kelly
The Philadelphia Story is probably my fave.
I also like Danny Kaye movies
The Thin Man series is great! Mystery and comedy. (William Powell & Myrna Loy)
Rock Hudson & Doris Day movies are awesome.
Hope that helps.

I recommend Bringing Up Baby with Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant. It is a black and white movie made in 1938 and is one of Hepburn's earlier movies. I would say it is more of a comedy, but it does have a little romance too. It is also very amusing to see Cary Grant in a comedic role (check out Arsenic and Old Lace for more of Grant in a comedic role).
Also, if you are an Audrey Hepburn fan, check out Roman Holiday (Hepburn won an Oscar for her role). It also stars Gregory Peck and Eddie Albert. It is a black and white movie made in 1953. I would say it is more of a romance, but it does have a little bit of comedy.
These two movies are some of my all time favorites. I can watch them over and over again. I hope you check them out!
