When the idea of Father Yule came about, it didnt take long for the horses to become flying reindeer.

Everything about Christmas is pagan and has pagan origins. Santa is supposedly based on a name named Nicolas, and you have flying reindeer. Where did Santa being dressed in red, going down chimmneys and pulled by flying reindeer originate?

The Pagan god Thor the viking sun god and god of thunder. He was a fire elemental god and would become fire allowing him to go down chimmneys. He was pulled by 2 flying goats and followed by the devil, Black Peter. Thor would leave gifts for good kids and black peter would punish and beat bad kids. T

he stuff about Santa and the reindeer is after this pagan thing was adopted into christianity.

The Inuit people live North Pole and they have lived with rein deers for thousands years taming them and the reindeers have an excellent nose to find a certain mushroom that the Inuit´s eat but the mushroom has side effects it produces drowsiness and it also gives the illusion of flying and the Inuits also communicated with Europe and thats why the legend says that he has flying reindeer. Does that answer your question.
