How long can you get away with being married?My girlfriend and I are thinking about it but don't want people to know for some time, lets say 1 - 2 years? No legal issue are involved, just our choice.
How hard would it be to get a way with it?

Sorry, if you are ashamed of letting people know you are getting married or have gotten married, then this speaks novels about your relationship, and none of it is good. I really don't know what advice i could give in this situation. Let me take one scenario, one possibility, and work from there. Two people in love with two families that hate each other. You have a responsibility to take care of this person, that means if you really love them, and your the guy, you will make sure your future is strong. You will see to it that both families are dead wrong in their assessment. No question about it! If you are not in that position, then get in that position, before you say your vows! Nothing is worst than an "I told you so" by a bunch of unloving relatives.

There's no point in getting married if you have to hide it from others. Marriage is done because one of three things or a combination or even all three together.
A religious connection
Legal process to make things easier as a couple and/or
A public notice that you love one another.

I don't really know how long you could hide it, or why you would want to but l would imagine someone would have to know. You will need a witness, won't you ?? Each to their own l guess but if l was the one getting married, l would want everyone to know !! Good luck to you both for a long and happy marriage.

shouldn't be too hard to slide by on that. until she may have to fill out paper work in front of her parents or until she may go to the hospital or something like that an her family be there.
