We discovered worms in our inground spa. The worms were needle thin and looked like they had a head on both ends. We have chlorine in the pool but it did not seem to bother these worms. They swim around in it like it is their native habitat.
Anyone else have that same issue?

Are you sure they are worms? I know they are not earth worms but they could be the following
If you leave your spa uncovered and you have trees around :
Inch style worms that fall from the trees -- green or whitish in color
If you Live in the country or where there are woods nearby. We have found newborn baby snakes in ours . They are pencil thin and look like you described and are about the same length as a worm , they swim and the chlorine doesn't bother them !
If Small , Very short -they maybe some kind of parasite.
Catch one and have your pool guy or someone who's into science and nature take a look.

Some organisms can live in some pretty extreme environments. It sounds like your little friends don't mind heat or lowered pH levels (adding bleach). Try emptying out the tub, scrubbing it down with a mild detergent, then refilling the water. This time COVER the basin with a tarp or something. If the little buggers cannot get into the water from the outside they won't be able to swim and multiply.

Most likely insect larvae. As mentioned, drain it completely, let dry for several days before refilling. Actually a mild detergent should kill them, but use one that is ok to put in your spa otherwise you will have a lot of foam.

Are they mosquito larvae. Do they kick around like little whips. I think you can get some chemical stuff from a pool shop that get rid of them but usually you don't get that stuff happening unless you have lapsed in your spa maintenance.

sounds like a parasite but it couldn't live there, weord. Call the pool guy. I've helped take care of my gran's pool it's over 25 yrs old and never had that problems, just snakes

I don't have a spa but i would drain the pool and clean it thoroughly and let it dry for a day...then refill...also cover it..

ew i think you should get like an exterminator because they might be perisites or tape worms
