Uncertain, but I had Microsoft Word 2002 installed when I bought my computer. It worked fine for two years until I began to receive constant error messages that interrupted my writing. I took the computer tower to a computer technician and he had to kill scads of viruses that had got into the program.

Consequently, he had to load up MS Word 2000 because the 2002 version wouldn't work correctly anymore.

I got tired of the 2000 version and reinstalled the 2002 version once more. The error messages came back again and I had to do a System Restore to remove the installation. Now I'm in a quandary with no final installation of the 2000 version of Microsoft Word.

I did everything that the Freeware and Software forum posters recommended, but to no avail. I'm hoping to get the 2003 version installed provided Santa is good to me this year.
