I haven't read it yet, but I've seen a couple of Carter interviews. From that, I'd say that his book contains facts and arguments Americans seldom see. It is, therefore, an important contribution to political discourse.

Former President Carter needs to enjoy his retirement and stop trying to sway the public. He was I believe, a nice man, but an ineffectual President who managed to hang on for his term of office without shooting himself in the foot too badly. He really didn't accomplish much of note, hence, he managed to stay out of trouble with the populace. His largest mistakes appear to have come from doing too little too late. His new book is just more of the same.

Israel is where it is supposed to be. The noise coming from those in the region is just that...noise. Palestine is not concerned that Jordan and Egypt stole their land in the most blatant method possible. Why are they so filled with hate toward Israel and why is former President Carter adding fuel to this fire? He had great admiration for Mandela as well. Another world figure whose motives are questionable at best. Jimmy Carter is a confused man and the victim of too much time available.

I think that ex-president Carter should stick to swinging a hammer for Habitat For Humanity. He *still* sucks at anything more complicated. He has *NEVER* been right of successful at *anything* involving foreign policy.

I don't think a about the worst president of all times. It's hard to believe he can even write a book about anything. His next book will be HOW TO: President for Dummies it will be two pages long. He will sale two copies one to Clinton and the other to G.W. Bush. the axis of stupidly.

I haven't read the book... but he should give it to the Israelis and see how they react. If they react violently, maybe oneday, ordinary citizens will see the tactics Israel uses to supress voices even if it the voice of an ex-president of the U.S.
