Question on the Sims 2 Pets Expansion pack?

What is the Sims 2 Pets expansion pack like? I am asking for it for Christmas--I am like obsessed with Sims and I think it would be awesome to have pets. Is it worth the money. Do you get any new clothes for your Sims or any new stuff for houses with it??

The Sims 2 Pets is a pretty good game overall, but does not appeal to everyone. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:

-Creating breeds is great with the amount of options involved
-The game lets you have a few extra items and obviously pets
-You can breed your pets with other ones and have puppies/ kittens
-Your animals act like a friend to your sims and are just like the real deal

Cons:

- Wacked size proportions. Ex: a Great Dane is the same height as a Pitbull
- The gameplay isn't all that much more
- Very few useful items
- A few glitches (nothing big)

So, basically ask for it if you like cats and dogs (dogs especially because they have more breed-creating options), but don't expect too much from it. Great game if you like the creative part about the Sims 2 series, but if it's the gameplay that you're looking for, it may not be worth it. I hope I helped : ^ )
