For the last two days, I have undercooked the food that I cooked for my husband, but I thought it was cooked enough.. anyways... I spent a long time in the kitchen making mashed potatos, gravy, and grilled marinated chicken, and I thought the chicken was done... and he saw it wasn't and snapped at me and said.. I'll cook for myself from now on... throw the food away, and he left the plate of food on the counter.

Eating uncooked food can make someone sick. Buy a food thermometer, and some cook books. A food thermometer can let you know what the temperature of the meat is on the inside. Certain meats should be a certain temperature on the inside to be cooked all the way.

Tell him to calm down and cook for himself. In the next month try cooking a meal again, and this time, eat it yourself. Two things will happen. First you'll know when food is cooked properly, second thing is your husband will ask where his helping is. Smile, and say, " You didn't like my cooking last time what are you bitching about, call dominoes."

get a cook book this should help you a great deal. but no better way to stay out of the kitchen then to serve under cooked chicken. you will learn in time...we have had our turn at messing up a dish or two. it is all part of learning.

He is not wrong for wanting to cook for himself, but perhaps he could have used a different approach in telling you. You are going to have to practice cooking on yourself until you get it right and then slowly introduce your cooking back into the relationship.

It was an honest mistake but since he took that kind of attitude, tell him his words are music to your ears, from now on when he gets hungry he knows where the kitchen is at.

I would assume you're eating together. If so, what's wrong with preparing the meal together? He may be able to give you some tips, as well as it being an enjoyable experience for both of you.
