ok if Jane Smith have been the eu Marathon Champion and worldwide Marathon Champion, could she have had the comparable abusive feedback? They are all excellent in their chosen sports.
As already answered she won gold.
It was a shame they did'nt give the female cyclist the same air time as some of the others, she won the Tour de France.
It was a public vote.
Glad there were no stuffed up footballers, but we dont have too many British players any more.
Theo did'nt look very impressed with his award.

"Horsey" sport is not shown on TV very often, so most people don`t get to know about our "horsey" stars, which is a great shame, because we always do extremely well in such events. Last year we won gold and we have every talented riders. Not least among them is Zara, She is worth watching whenever you have the chance. Her winning had little to do with who she is and more to do with how good she is!

I have to say I'm as surprised as you. Maybe because shes a royal? However apart from the boxers and Darren Clark there wear no outstanding British stars this year anyway. David Walliams shud have won the main award not just a token special award.He woz robbed !!!

Because she is bloody brilliant at horse jumping etc. Least she won gold for us. About time some one did. Funny how it takes a women!!!!

'cos all the horsey peeps voted for her and her gran owns the company, her mum was on the switchboard, her uncle charlie married a horse, oh and she is only the third rider to hold both european and world three day event titles at the same time.
personally i would have given it to Howard Clarke.
