Can I ask for them at petco or petsmart? Or will I have to try a smaller pet store? Thanks! :)

Thanks guys! Also...I was wondering if you knew about how old they are when they sell them. I want to get one to try to raise too :)...I've done it before when my snake passed away and I'd like to do it again

Petsmart :3 Very good place.
Petco =3 Good, but not that good.

If you live near Roselle someone near Cross Creek there is a store called 'Wet pets' and if you in the back you'll find all sorts of animals.

(Lively Pink Mice ^_^)

The best place to buy live pinky mice is critterdome. It sells all kinds of reptiles so it also lots of pinky mice, fullgrown mice, rats, crickets, and anything else as food that you can think of. It got a top star rating. Never go to PETCO it is a really bad pet store.

If your reptile will eat dead pinkies, that's the way to go. Warm them up and wiggle them with giant tweezers (sold in pet stores as feeding forceps, sold in hardware stores for half the price) and the snake should take them without much hesitation.

All six of my rodent-eating snakes, including the baby ball python whose breeder said it wasn't eating frozen, devour them. I don't even have to wiggle them anymore -- just put the proper size and number of reheated rodents (heated in a plastic bag in a bowl of hot water) in a dish and the snakes come out of their hide boxes and chow down.

Trust me, it is MUCH easier to keep a bag of mice-cicles in the freezer than it is to run to the pet store every time you need one, or to start a mouse farm. (plus, you don't have to feel bad about hearing the babies peeping for their mothers) When you get into larger prey, such as adult mice or rats, it's also much, much safer for your animals. The amount of damage a rodent can do with those long, sharp teeth is amazing, and it only takes one bite to blind or kill a snake, even after it's already grabbed the rodent. Yes, as someone said in another answer, it happens in the wild. But even if only 1 snake out of 100 gets bitten by its dinner .... do you want it to be YOURS?

Im not sure if pet co or anything have em but any reptile dealer should have them live. and if you wanted to raise em they will sell them from the day after they are born to whenever but its would be really hard to raise em that young but ya try a smaller pet store with snakes or summtin thats where i get mine.

Yes you can. You can also try various reptile breeders and see if they know any mice breeders.

If you are thinking of feeding them ALIVE to something....shame on you. If you are looking for them already passed on, Drs. Foster and Smith catalog has them. Or, almost all pet shops can get them.
