I am an incredible dancer. Smooth, rythmatic, and full of soul. Yet every time I dance, everyone around me tends to laugh histerically. When I try to dance with females, they look at me as if I'm disgusting, then stop dancing. My dance moves are amazing...I make Mario Lopez look like Mario from the video game. Any Advice?

It's probably because you are a sloppy dancer, have you considered taking dance classes? Dance classes are fun and will help keep you staying fit. If you had a dance teacher they would correct your mistakes that you are unaware of. Dance teachers are blunt though and a bit tough on you at first. If it bothers you that people are laughing at you, then tell them to stop. They might be laughing because you are in a fairytale world thinking you are good. Who cares if your bad though. All that matters is that you are having fun and that you are making other people happy. Consider your Elaine style of dancing a gift of laughter.

Redirect your energies. Your "moves" may not be as amazing to others as they are to you. And you may have to consider the possibility that others see your amazing dancing as showboating.
When you're dancing with the ladies, your role is completely different. The only reason you're out there, whether you know it or not, is to make the lady look good. Experienced dancers thought Mario Lopez resembled the Mario Brothers for those reasons. So less ego may lead to some respect.

You probably suck.....sorry man. If you don't believe me, next time you dance and they laugh say "what's so funny?" You'll get you're answer right there. If they say you're a bad dancer, ask to see them dance instead....then laugh hysterically like they did to you...unless it's a girl, because chances are that you might get some kind of drink poured on your head by the end of the night if you laugh at her...good luck B-)

My dear, Confidence is very good for dance, but it is just over confidence. Take dance lessons from an experienced teacher. He will teach you, correct you and would give you tips for the type of dancing suits to you. Every dance and dance movement does not suits to everybody. Make video of your dance and watch them critically. Then correct yourself.

If you have a tendency to learn, I assure that one day the same crowd would clap for you and demand 'once more'.

Here is another suggestion: STOP dancing and start watching other people and see if they are laughing at soemthing totally different. Maybe YOU are not the focus of the laughter??

And watch the ego - sounds as though you are very self-absorbed, and uppity. Cause for laughter, I am afraid. Put on a clown outfit and get legitimate laughter, maybe.

You may be dancing at the wrong place or with the wrong crowd. Feel you may be overdoing your moves. What are yr facial expressions like when you dance? Are you emitting any sounds that may be odd? Are you trying to dance WITH people or dance AT them?
Have you shared with them all about yr high falutin self opinion as listed in yr question?

Take your friends' cue. Also, do you flap your arms above your shoulders, do the snake with your hands, bite your lower lip, scrunch your eyes to a squint, march your knees high, or plant your feet like cement; bobble your head, vulture, gyrate your hips, lick your lips, express yourself to every beat of the tune, and sing as you do it? It ain't about having sex your way on the dance floor, dude. Curb the ego.

you have a big head. you might think you have all the moves, but apparently, from evidence, you are not that great. Its good to make people laugh though. Now, make them take you seriously, and slow it down some, don't do such outragious moves.

Are you SURE that you're good? Maybe you're just the "William Hung" of dancing. You think you can dance (just like he thought he could sing), but you really can't.
