yes with the games. but with the hardware and add-ons, ds lite is leading
couple of examples of stuff that are only on ds lite
Mario Kart DS: in ds lite, mario will say "here we go" when u power on the system
DS Browser: only for ds lite, (the cheaper ones are for ds lite)
Max Media Dock: Only for ds lite
M3 Lite: Only for ds lite
A bunch of other hdd drives for ds are only for the lite
DS Mp3 Player: only for ds lite

Yea DS games work on the DS lite. The only new thing about it is the Lites battery lasts longer with fewer cahrging. And is a lil smaller and lighter.

Correct. The only difference between the two systems is the way it gets charged. The old DS uses a different charger then the DS Lite.
