I think your right to look at like that, sounds like you have ur head on pretty straight for age. If kids are going to have sex they need to be smart about it. Use condoms, use birth control. I know I was pretty young when I was having sex, but i was smart about it, and I've been with the same, and only guy since then. Girls these days just go around with different guys and having sex like its a popularity contest or something. Definatly DISGUSTING!! I think teen pregnancy shouldn't happen, but it does ALL the time. My mom had my oldest brother at 17, and she was very responsible with him and her life, which is very suprising with teenagers. But just because my mom got lucky, doesn't mean that all pregnant teenage girls will be as successful. That's why its should be prevented as best as possible.

Yes, it makes your life very difficult, but think about your feelings toward these people. They made what many people consider to be a grievous mistake. They've most likely been insulted and ridiculed by many people, possibly family members. It isn't often easy for pregnant teenagers to keep their chins up, and I'm sure it would be very easy for you to make them feel bad. I hope you don't.
Understand that emotions have a great impact on some people and the emotional impact on a pregnant woman can be devastating. It can even lead to a miscarriage. Some miscarriages can injure a woman so badly that she can never have a child, and some miscarriages have ended the mothers' lives. So please don't go insult them - and just let them be and if they start with you.
Women in these situations who elect not to have abortions should be commended for their bravery. They often have much to face. They really need the support of people around them. These ones you know won't be able to live the fun lives of young adults.
I wouldn't make them out to be heros, either. I know there's teenage girls who actually get pregnant on purpose just to get attention... that's bad
... awe geeze I've said too much and I need to go back to what I was doing. Don't have sex until you're grown up, kid. Don't do drugs. Stay in school. Major in something good.

I have a cousin, brilliant girl, she got very high grades in high school, and could have been very sucessful if she had gone on with her education.
However, she wanted a baby, and ended up pregnant out of high school. Now she's 25, has three kids, no education, and she's never left the little hick town that we grew up in.
I think its the worst thing you could do.
If I had done the same thing, I would have never travelled to different countries(backbacking) I would have never experienced things like climbing mountians, surfing, ocean kayaking, laying on a beach watching the sun go down over the sea(on the other side of the world) I would have never lived in the sub Arctic, or heliskied on big glaciers.
I'm just telling you some of this stuff I've done not to brag, but to encourage you to keep on the track that you are on.
I came from poverty, where it would have been easy to make other choices. I just want to encourage you that with a bit of work, and a strong mind, you can do whatever your mind can dream up!
Stay strong, good luck!

These girls sound like they are trying to make their situations look better than they do. I know for a fact that when they go home, and that baby is crying at 4'o'clock in the morning their wishing "if only I had made him use it." They probably feel really insecure about it and are covering that insecurity with false happiness and or pride. I have some friends who got pregnant at a young age and they had to grow up overnight. Its not a fun thing to be 15,16 or whatever and have a baby. It keeps them from being kids and forces them to be adults at an age where its natural to want to play and joke and have fun. They ****** up any chance they had for a decent life and they KNOW it.

Brag about a pregnancy without even knowing their baby's father? With about half of all new STDs in occurs among youth ages 15 to 24 having unprotected sex is ignorance at its best. Everyone should do it? HA! Babies are much more than a cute lil accessory. They are expensive, and a huge responsibility! What I see in the future for those young ladies, is poverty.

I think you have valid points, but that goes for anyone who is sexually active. If you think you are old enough to have sex you are old enough to take responsibility of precautions or the responsibility of knowing who the father is and becoming a mother.
