I've given up on peeing in the toilet altogether. I pee exclusively in the bathroom sink. Otherwise I use a cup. It may appear gross on the surface, but the alternative is worse, peeing all over the toilet, the floor, and myself.

Well don't feel special, any guy I have had the pleasure of sharing a house with can't seem to pee in the bowl either.
They have an aversion to pushing the little button on the top as well.
