A lot of you guys "Knock" The Democrats as weak etc! What would have been the outcome of the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 had Some Republican, such as GW Bush been in office?
I ask as an Englishman, with no particular "Axe to Grind"

Well Zulu, a lot of years have passed since 62 and the Democratic agenda, and Republican as well, has changed. I dread what would have happened had Bill Clinton been in office during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Many have suggested that our parties have grown obsolete or certainly in need of a good refocusing. I can find plenty of reasons to criticize both but it is pointless. I take action where it counts most, in the voting booth.

In the first place both parties were very different back then. I doubt that it would have been a whole lot different however. The fear of that type of missle was still fresh to everyone then, unlike today where we tend to think we are invincible.

Great point there. I agree with where you are coming from and what you are saying, and it makes me think, America would probably be as small as Luxembourg if Bush was in office then!!
Lmao!!

your question falsely assumes the democrats of 1962 and the democrats of now are the same thing.
a big no no.
agenda wise: they are nothing alike my british friend. fdr john kennedy and harry truman were all hawkish.
comapred to today's democrats??? are you kidding me??? he was also a massive tax cutter......but funnily they dont talk about that part of his "legacy'
haha...im into reality sir, not conspiracy theories. are you also going to tell me mr. bush orchestrated the twin tower destruction??
anyways...lets just agree to disagree
