ctually, the IQ score isn't affected by the age. It is like a percentage of smartness of how people your age should be off. For example, if you have the score of 100, that means that your IQ is the of the perfect standard as it should be. You would be considered as a genius if you have the IQ score of 150, which means that your IQ is one and a half times your age. IF you are a 20 years old with a 150 IQ, it means that you have the IQ of a 30 year old. But there many tests nowadays, so, the result might not be 100% accurate.

The highest possible adult score (deviation) is 194.
The highest possible child score (ratio) is 243.
These results were found statistically. Given the current population of the earth there should be noone able to score higher than these given scores. However, given a test that can test high enough, theoretically there should be no IQ limit...but this isn't the case.
There are no tests that can test above 166 on the adult scale anyway, other than what are called high range tests. Their validity is questionable, and even they cannot test IQ's beyond 190!

First off, the results of a child's IQ are limitless. Adult IQ's stop at 200 and #'s above are just to show rank between people. Von Goethe lived before 1900. IQ tests weren't made until then. Von Goethe is Estimated to have an IQ that high. They say Davinci had an IQ of 220 in estimate. This is just to show rank. James Sidis is said to have an IQ upwards of 250, but he never took an IQ test. It is all assumptions. 90-100 is average. Your are Bright.
The highest IQ test score is above 140, seeing as my average on adult tests, SB wise, is 165. I am 13, almost 14. Sharon Stone has a high IQ, but not as high as proclaimed. People say that genius IQ begins at 140, but genius is attained, not born.
Marilyn Vos Savant's IQ is 186. He childhood IQ score was 228. This was a ratio IQ, not a deviation IQ( as said, her deviation IQ is 186). To put it into perspective, I have a deviation IQ of 165 SB, but I have a ratio IQ of about 190.
To the braggart above, I am in Mensa and Prometheus, but I do not like to brag about it.

The highest mark that can be attained for an IQ test is 210. But it might be of interest to read about Marilyn von Savant who was listed in the the Guinness Book of World Records as having an IQ of 232 a record that is no longer kept as it is completely unlikely. I believe that Johann Wolfgang von Goethe scored a 210

There is no limit. IQ is intelligence quotiant. 100 is dead average. people sway from 90-110. They are normal intelligence. if you are 110, you are 110% of the average intelligence. There is a whole idea that if yo are 120 & above you are in the top 5% of the worlds intelligence. 140 i beleive is the top 2% of the worlds population.
My basic point is that it is possible to get any number in an IQ test. There is no maximum. However, it gets unlikelier the higher you go.
Sharon Stone does have a high IQ but I doubt it's near 185.
Then again, i beleive IQ isn't a good refelection of intelligence anyway. It doesn't say your intelligent, it says to me that you can answer numerical & verbal logical puzzles quickly...

An IQ test is a measure of somebody's intelligence, obtained through a series of aptitude tests concentrating on different aspects of intellectual functioning. An IQ score of 100 represents 'average' intelligence. Its full form is 'intelligence quotient'.

You're above average, but you're not Einstein. There is no "standard" scale of measurement and more than one accepted test - the best measure is what your "percentile" score is - if your IQ is above the 98th percentile, then you're cleverer than 98% of the rest of the people on the planet who have been tested.
There are different sorts of intelligence, too.
Some tests cannot be universally relied on because of language and cultural differences.
