my grandma has mental illness allways picks fights with the famley and bothers her husband how do me and my mom get help for her no stupid answers dont be ignorant

Look in the phone book for your area Mental Health Mental Retardation (MHMR) center and call and set up an intake appointment. She will be seen by a qualified psychologist who will give her a series of tests and thoroughly check her background. He/she will be able to point your family into the right direction in getting her the help that she needs and they will give her a case worker who will work with her and your family in helpin her deal with the problems that your family is having. I know what I am talking about as I am a consumer of MHMR myself and the people that work there are very nice and easy to work with.
Don't be discouraged if the she has to wait a good while to attend the intake appointment, sometimes it could take several months. Good Luck and Merry Christmas.

Depends on her age. She needs to get a psychological evaluation, and maybe determine if she needs a power of attorney or not, to make decisions for her. I recommend asking her how she feels about it first, theres nothing like getting your right of independence taken away. Many state mental facilities should be able to help based on a sliding income.

The illness may or may not be treatable. You and/or Mom and/or Grampa should consult a professional first. There are many approaches, and this is not an area for amateurs. Good luck.
