Do i need to uninstall it?? any otehr information is greatly apreciated!

you might have to follow the instructions on the manual. if you do not have a up to date computer than it might be your computer... if u havent figured it out by now then you shold try and go to their webpage and look up about direct x and all those other things.. hope i helped... below are some web pages ... the second one is a person who is having the same problem as you...... so go check out the second one..

if there is an error when u open it where it says that they cannot find some direct X somethingsomething.dll file, then type the exact file name into google, and someone probably posted it, since a lot of times, through all the installing, uninstalling, and other stuff that goes on, certain DirectX files get lost.
or you can check the game specs and see what version of Direct X is needed to play, and then open "Run" in the start menu and then type in "dxdiag" and make sure you have the needed version. If not, then just reinstall it and it should ask you whether you want to install the needed version of DirectX. =D

Most problems with DirectX can be simply solved by updating it to the latest version. Many other games and applications need DirectX as well, so it doesn't hurt to update it.
If there are any missing files it will fix itself up.
If that doesn't fix the problem, update your video card drivers from the manufacturer's website.
