of course. It's perfectly natural to worry about that. If you're especially concerned, it may be a good idea to try to focus on things to avoid the problems seniors go through- like staying healthy, etc.

That's actually a rational fear of suffering and losing your independence. PBS's Fontline recently aired an excellent show on aging that dealt with the realistic impact that aging in an era of medicine and technology has on quality of life. If you live long you want to live well and not be stuck in an old folks home or "death's waiting room" as they called it in the documentary. Consider yourself lucky to be thinking about these things because you can do a lot to prepare yourself to age well and gracefully. Exercise, eat well, and live your life fully so that you will have a fulfilling life regardless of how long you live.

This is a normal , but my dear it has a habit of creeping up on us, I am having a grand time, I live in Spain, visit my children grandchildren, and friends in the UK, go to concerts I even went to America some time ago alone, enjoy your self everyday, whilst you're young and when you do become a senior citizen you'll still be enjoying yourself, good luck have a good life.

No, maybe the fear stems from knowing that you're closer to death. It happens to most people at one point or another. If you have a fear of breakiing your hip or others issues, try to combat it by joining groups that involves such as traveling or sports teams.

Well it sucks that you can't do everything you once could, but it can be fairly enjoyed by what you've achieved. If you take care of yourself physically and mentally, you'll have a much better time as a senior.

I often look at old people and pray that I won't end up looking like that. It's not that they look old that bothers me, it's their clothes. It's like you loose all sense of fashion once you hit 60. Does that make me shallow?

Yep.
I'm not afraid of getting old, just of being unhealthy and having most of my friends and family members dead or far away.
