I was really just curious to see wheter or not the type of music you listen to has any effect on your IQ. experts say it does but after seeing the actual music:IQ "ratio" (or whatever you want to call it) I don't think it's true.

I hope you realize most people are going to lie about their score (most tests can't even give scores over 145, and there are no commonly used tests that have ceilings over a deviation score of 166!).
Hence this will be a flop, with highly inflated scores.
Just for the record, some studies have shown those who listen to rap average slightly lower IQ's than those who don't.
My personal favorite genre is Dance/Electronic/Vocal Trance. However, I also enjoy classical, rock/metal, and some from most other genres other than country.
I scored 157 on Ravens Advanced Progressive matrices with a ceiling Raw score, SD 15.

An internet quiz I took told me 129 but I have never taken a profession IQ test before.
I like country mostly, and the sort of pop/rock/emo music like The Killers and Panic! At the Disco and any classic rock.

Wow eveyone seems so brainy considering the average IQ is 100.
Don't know mine, I listen to everything, I love music in any way shape or form.

No measly number or Intelligence Quotient can ever accurately measure my intelligence. Like I state in my profile, my intelligence is vast and superior.
I listen to metal.
Oh, and by the way, in regards of your theory on Santa being Satan, "santa" literally means "holly woman" in Spanish. So there you again have an example of the devil dressing up as an angel of light. Your theory does have a point.

Testing showed my verbal IQ to be in the 98 percentile, but a head injury 5 years ago left evident damage to my memory and ability to process new information. It sucks!
I listen to Rock, Christian rock , alternative and more...

ive been told im a genius...i always say: WHATS RONG W/ U!? im not a genius! but then my frends gave me an IQ test and i got a 146, so that accounts for something, eh? and i listen to only indian movie music and some kelly clarkson

I had to be re-tested...however (please don't hold this against me....I was tested at 168 then at 175 and I listen to classical a lot as well as a viriety of off beat music including Moby and Elvis Costello.....I also play stringed instruments.
