ok so due to stretch marks on my legs i am going to have to wear stockings on new years eve to cover them up......do you think stockings are incredibly nerdy? I am only 23. also what kind of shoes do i wear? i have open toe heels to wear, but i can't do that with stockings can i? cos you'll see the seam on the toes!!! uugh!! please help! what should i do? are they too nerdy to wear at all? what do you think when you see a girl in stockings? and what shoes am i supposed to wear? big stress!!! eeek!

No way! Stockings are great for winter, I don;t think they are nerdy or anyone else I know. You could wear flats, or pumps, or even maybe tennis shoes with them. When I see a girl in stockings that are skin colored and sheer(if i can tell) I just assume she wants her legs to look nicer or darker or lighter, nothing wrong with that! If they are thick and colored I think the girl is just trying to stay warm or make a statement or its just a style! Stockings are great, remember you don't have to choose a skincolored one. You can be eclectic and get thick bright blue stockings, or maybe since its a new years party which is still winter you could get some cute kind of sheer stockings with a design on them like snowflakes. Don't worry, they won't be nerdy. I would totally wear bright bold blue stockings if I could get my hands on some under a mini skirt with moon boots. People in my school use them all the time with skirts.

Stockings are so hot and not at all nerdy. In fact a girlfriend of mine says they are making a comeback. If you noticed a lot of guys stareing at your legs, it is because it is attractive to them. If you are going to be wearing them with a nice dress on New Years I would suggest wearing black stockings, they appear to be more formal. Or even a nice Nude color. Try to stay away from White stockings unless you are the bride at a wedding. Open toed Shoes would be acceptable as long as, when you put your stockings on, you try to hide the toe seam under your toes.

Stockings are the furthest thing from nerdy. Pantyhose come close unless you buy really good sheer to waist ones, but stockings with a garter belt or even hold ups are way beyond the nerd and grandmotherly crowd. they are for the classy and chick, and if you get good sandlefoot, stockings they are so sheer you can't see the toes, but really classy are very heel closed toe and heel pumps in the winter.
Toes are really ugly anyway, and yes, we all pedicure, and shave but bare legs and bare painted toes are still ugly. I wear stockings to work every day to the office and every night I go out and I have more dates than I have time, and no one has ever, ever ever, called me a nerd. Sexy, hot, sophisticated,chick, I get called those all the time, but never nerdy. Wear stockings, nice and long, with a garter belt, and ditch the pantyhose, you won't nerdy or sorry.

Stockings nerdy? A resounding HELL NO. Stockings are one of the sexiest things a woman can wear. You a too young to remember the days when all women wore stockings, as an every day part of life. Stockings are perfect for your particular needs, because one main use for them is to cover up imperfections of ones skin. Now, the real question is, are you planning to wear stockings, or pantyhose. If you really want to feel good about yourself, and exude sexiness to those around you, wear stockings. Now, as far as the shoe issue, I have no help for you there, but you should definitely wear stockings.

Stockings or pantyhose nerdy? Not in the least! They help enhance the looks of your legs and can really bring an outfit together.
As far as the marks on your legs, they can help hide them if you go for a dark shade.
They make sandal-foot stockings, actually pantyhose that you can wear with most open toed shoes.

There is nothing nerdy about stockings. I wear them almost everyday at work and I don't feel the least bit nerdy.

i think stockings could possibly be nerdy. the trend, espcially this winter, is to wear black or textured tights (opaque) with open toed or peep toe shoes. it's very chic. wearing stockings that are skin color, but obviously not your skin color is tacky. if you really want your legs to look nice, you can always use spray on stocking. sally hansen sells them, and your legs look gorgeous w/o the problem or seems, being self conscious or anything. if you ultimately decide to wear stockings, bring your shoes into a relatively good department store like nordstrom and ask the salesperson to help you pick out the best pair for you. give her all your criteria and see what she recommends.

Sandalfoot is the style of hose you buy that doesn't have a seam. Hose just make your legs look a nice tanned color, why are they nerdy, is everybody gonna feel what u are wearing.
