The scenario is a bunch of famous people who have made a difference to the world are in a hot air balloon. There is only enough air left for one person to land safely. You make a speech as if you were this person and the person with the most votes wins. Everyone else is chucked out of the balloon. I have done Rosa Parks and you must end with something like "Please vote for me because without me..." I am not sure how to end the project and it needs to be in tomorrow. Any suggestions?

Rosa Parks was most famous for speaking up against racial segregation in the Southern states of the US, and defied the system by riding in the 'wrong' section of the buses. This also let to African-American boycotting bus services.
I suppose you already know this through your research, but this is what you should base your closing argument on. How about something like 'racial ignorance would still be obvious in America, especially in the Southern states such as Alabama and Florida.'

Oh Honey, I'm sorry but most people make a big deal out of Rosa Parks and she really didn't do anything that others hadn't done before her. The only reason she became popular for her sitting on the bus is because she was a member of the local chapter of the NAACP in fact she was the secretary. They publicized her so much because she was an older woman and supposedly a good citizen. Just the day before she was arrested a young teen was arrested for the same. The NAACP didn't want to use the young girl because she was pregnant and wasn't married. They felt that the young girl would be seen as negative.
So if you must use Rosa Parks you could say that "Please vote for me because with out the NAACP using me as the face of of the fight for Civil Rights the fight would not have gotten as much publicity as it did and people would still be struggling."

I sat on the seat in that there bus, and if you think that I'm gonna get up out of this ballon, right now, well I suggest you go and get yourself a state trooper. cos I ain't moving, period.
Without me we would still have balloons labelled 'whites only' and balloons for coloureds.
