The moon is 15 billion inches away according to one site I saw. It is probably true. To work out how far that is in miles, hang on... 238,580 miles from our surface to the moon's nearest surface.
(or 15 billion inches).
As you read this, the measurement will be slightly larger as the moon is slowly travelling away from our dear planet. In millions of years time (If President Bush doesn't cause World War 2), the moon will have a much less effect on our tides.
