How should we approach the matter...Do we send them all home, let no more in...whats the right thing to do? Do we totally ignore their desire to have a better life, or is it we recognize that desire but we have to think about ourselves as well...What do you think? I'd appreciate ANYTHING whatsoever about the topic; any opinions, views, ANYTHING! thanks!

Honestly? Tough question.

Generally immigration has got to be controlled. Its stupid for a country not to.

Its sad that much of US economy depends on illegal work from some dedicated people who just want to work.

I think that more immigrants should be given legal status; those amnesty drives are good.

I have never even given it much thought until yesterday. I live in a small town thats best known for melon, vegetables, cotton and hay. The border patrol deported 3 out of 4 crews from the fields back to Mexico. That's 9-12 people a crew. The crew that was not deported works the machinery so now there is nobody in these fields to cut the lettuce. I work in the melon sheds during the season so myself and a few others were called to the sheds to do the lettuce. The sheds are not set up to run lettuce. My point is how many U.S. citizens are willing to work in the fields? I personally will, but majority will not mostly because it is hard work. People need to realize that these illegal immigrants from Mexico are doing us a favor. To top it all off, the owners of these particular fields were fined $10,000.00 A PERSON. What's that all about and who does that money go to? Probably not to pay new U.S, citizen field employees. As far as this matter goes I see nothing wrong with illegals coming over to work. That's what they do come and work and go home and do it again day after day. As far as living in the United States. As far as I am concerned Mexico is part of the United States, isn't it located on the map?

I welcome any one who wants to come and live in this country, but they have to come here LEGALLY! They say we are being prejudice when we don't want people here, but it's the people here illegally that we don't want here. With terrorism as it is, we obviously need to keep track of who is and is not in this country. We also can't afford to take care of those who come here illegally. Illegals have been the reason some U.S. hospitals have had to shut down because they were getting too many illegal patients and the hospital could not afford to keep its doors open any more. Illegals are a danger to Americans also in the fact that they are running in the streets and causing car accidents, hiding in vehicles that disobey traffic laws because they are scared so cause wrecks, they depleat out law forces because our law spends so much time dealing with them that it puts neglect on American citizens. I live 4 miles from the border in Arizona, I'm tired of their garbage being dumped all over the place, I'm tired of worrying about them breaking into my house to get food or what ever they need, I'm tired of worrying about what damage they will do to my property, I'm tired of all the problems they create. If you want to come into the U.S., give America time to help you get here the right way.

Hispanics are hard workers and committed to their families. Major difference between poor, undeducated Hispanics and poor, uneducated Blacks.

So, send the uneducated Blacks to Mexico and invite all the Hispanics here. Then we'd have a culture making a contribution to society.

Frankly, I welcome anyone of of any race creed or color who does it the LEGAL wayOne of my biggest concerns with the Hispanic Illegal immigrrants is we have somehow given them a right to vote- which of course is a democratic vote since they need the programs- as an ILLEGAL immigrant of ANY race would since you should not actually be allowed a job....sigh

Back in the 19th century America admitted all the White immigrants from Europe - why not give the Latinos a shot?

Let em in - and legalize the ones that are here now!

"Restricting immigration won't solve this country's problems, the refugees are only our leaders scapegoats!"

"Regardless of citizenship, we're all the same, no human is illegal like governments claim!"
