Nope - not stereotyping dumbass - am curious to know the reason as my wife is hungarian and obviously i know a lot of hungarians in the community and i wondered if anybody knew the reason

The answer to your question depends who the "other people" are!

Hungarians - compared to "North Americans" for example - tend to establish personal relationships slower, but as they become your friend it's a much more important connection.

We don't feel comfortable to open up for strangers but our idea of friendship is a much deeper, emotional and open. Americans are very kind, they "blend easy" with others, but we - Hungarians - may pretty quickly hit a "brick wall" when trying to become true friends.

Its the Goulash.
I meant it as a joke, but come to think of it, food does influence the disposition.
Wean her off the paprika and see if her mood changes.
Well, maybe it is because they are old world.
A lot of history and learning about the old ways and culture.
This country, the USA, is still in its infancy.
Well, actually more like rambunctious toddlers.

WTF are you talking about both of my grandparents on each side are Hungarian never herd of this one before no one can even tell I'm Hungarian and I'm 100 %
