anything above a 1200 is good, but out of a 2400, probably anything above an 1800. Depends what u mena ny good.

Being that I never took the sat test, I really would not know. However I do not completely agree with sat's. I have a cousin that graduated #1 in her class, made 1 B her whole school career. Her boyfriend, he made c's and b's and once and a while had a d or 2. They both took SAT's and he out scored her unbelievable. She was soooo upset. no one person would have ever thought that. I know some people just do not test well in pressure situations.but I think your high school grades should be enough in certain situations. Just my opinion

If you're talking about the new 2400 SAT, to get into a good school, like top 20, Georgetown and above you'd need over a 2000. On the old sat, above a 1400 would be good for those. If you're shooting for the top 15 or so schools, you should get at least a 2100.

I got 1100 out of 1600 a few years ago. I think division 1 schools look at ones like 1200 and above. But then again, some schools don't look at the SATs anymore.

Anything above 1400 ah guess, but a compiled score of 1700 would be excellent! for a math score any thing above 500 and the same for crit. reading. Cant wait to see the following answers!

A score above 1600 is considered good for most schools.
A score above 2100 is considered good for the prestigious private schools such as Penn, MIT, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Princeton, etc.
A score above 2300 would almost guarantee admission and financial aid into schools such as Penn, MIT, Columiba, etc.

Higher than 1000 is good, a 1200 or better gets you into a great school

Anywhere between 2300 and 2400
After all, you don't want to be Mr.Smarty Face, or whats his name.
See, I read that a 2400 kid did NOT get into his prefered college, so just aim for a 2330. That's what my friend got.

800 for each portion====1600. This would be perfect.
