Bush and the Republican Congress are responsible. This was an unnecessary war. It was chose by Bush and chose for the wrong reason. Bush was looking to invade Iraq and as far as Bush was concerned this was a perfect excuse.

Why does everyone think tis was an unjust war? Technically Bush had the right to invade Iraq. The U.S. is a permanent member of the security council. The UN and other nations were afraid to enforce their own mandates in Iraq. So Bush took it upon himself to enforce the mandate. When he did it exposed that countries like France, The Soviet Union, and other countries were exploiting the oil for food program for their own personal gain. The one responsible are the insurgency, Iran, and Syria. Bush did not kill millions of Iraqis. Civilian death is unavoidable in every war. Those who think Bush killed millions of people need to do a reality check, and stay off far left wing sites.

The American consumer.
He demands that his way of life continue.
His way of life necessitates large quantities of oil. Without it he couldn't drive 15 miles to shop at Wal-Mart.
There's not much oil left in the world. The majority of what is happens to be in the Middle East.
In order to be elected, American government must uphold the American way of life.
American government must then try to stabilize the region that holds the most oil. Or, better yet, control that region.
Thus... it is YOU, American consumer, who is to blame for the death and destruction in Iraq.
Don't try to blame it on anyone else.

The Iraqi's themselves, those involved in sectarian violence, the terrorists, if you will, who fill their trunks with bombs and swerve into a crowded market to detonate it.
