How many people live in outer mongolia (roughly) ?

The population of Mongolia is 2.2 million people.

We generally do not call it "outer Mongolia" as it is a country in itself and part of it, "inner Mongolia" was invaded by China.

It's about 2.5 million. Over 1 million live in Ulaanbataar, the capital. The others are mainly nomadic.
