Yesterday, I was trimming split ends off of my friend's hair, and I guess I cut off more than I was supposed too, because this morning, she messaged me and tells me that I had cut off more than her likings; I cut off hair layers, and made it shorter. She says it's okay and tells me not to worry about it, because she'll cut it herself to even it out and all, but I can tell that she's angry at me (but then again, who wouldn't be?). I feel horrible enough, because she had put her trust into me, yet I screwed it over.

What can I do to make it up to her?
I told her that I will pay for her next haircut at the salon, but she declined, and I can't think of anything else I can do to make it up to her. :-\

It always sucks when you are very much trying to help someone and end up damaging something in the process. Try not to get too upset. If you two are really friends she will probably just need her space for awhile to get over it and then move on.

There is nothing worse then feeling helpless to make it up to someone. My best advice for you is to get a card that says Im sorry. Write her the appology that you want her to hear from you and give or mail it to here depending on how mad you think she is.

Myself I would probably get some of her favorite flowers and the card and give her that. Hair is important and its a shame that it got messed up. The great news is that it grows back and if your friend is reasonable your friendship should too.

Good luck and try not to feel so bad. We all make mistakes! :)

Wow, this is weird but the same thing happened to me. I really didn't want to cut my friends hair, but she assured me it would be okay. So I ended up cutting 4 inches off, and even though it was ugly as heck..she went to the salon to get it fixed and she loved it. And today were still friends!

You apologized and offered to pay to get it cut thats all you can do. She knew you was no professional when she let you cut her hair right.

You didn't mean to "ruin" her hair, right? I'm sure she knows that you're sorry... and eventually she'll forgive you. That's what real friends do. Besides, it's hair. It will grow back. 80)

That her to get a haircut and pay for it. Have her get it done by some professionals.

You could buy her one of those cute little hair treatment packs. Teir helpful, some are cheap, and it will let your friend know that you are very, very sorry.

get her a gift like a DVD, a book, a shirt, a thong, make-up, or maybe some hair stuff. give it to her and tell her that you are really sorry.
