I used to live in Southwest and I have family in Mt. Airy...you have nothing to fear.
Living in Southwest Philly should've conquered any fears you have!!!

I might be scared of getting on the Expressway at that time, but as long as it's light out you should be ok.
Mt. Airy isn't paradise either, you know.

it depends on what part and if your on foot but sometimes they don't bother you unless ya bother them or look scared
