Yes by far. Chess is one of the most complex games known to man. That is the only way a board game can survive the test of time. There are millions of board positions possible after just 3 moves. When there are that many possiblilties, it must be difficult

Some people may consider it challenging if they haven't played before but once you get used to it you learn to strategize.....My answer is maybe so.
