as it is a part of my critical research and your opinion will help me draw up some conclusions about the topic I am studying? From your own knowledge can your detect and describe the comparative differences between the 1950’s actresses MARILYN MONROE and AUDREY HEPBURN?
Points to consider:
•Can you identify them from their films or just in terms of a fashion icon?
•Individually what are their stereotypes?

Marilyn Monroe an American came accross as a loose woman, and not a very good actress.
Audrey Hepburn was from the Netherlands, and was a very good actress. They could both be recognised in films. If I had my druthers I would choose Audrey, she was the better actress and cared about her craft.

I can identify them from both films and fashion trends. Most teenagers cannot however.

As far as sterotypes, Monroe is definitly considered like a dumb blond or a sexpot. Hepburn seems more high class, a serious actress and more of a role model for many.

From films: Audrey cute, quirky, intelligent, naive. Marilyn sultry, dumb blonde, naive, fragile.
Fashion: Audrey, elegant, slender, classic. Marilyn seductive, low cut, tight, voluptuous.
