um... first you would want advice from cheerleaders (but some of them are snobs so, be careful of who you chose), also take some gymnastics classes you know learn the basics and some more stuff. Like splits, back bends flips stuff like that. Also take some ballet classes, ballet helps you balance, stay focus, work on your spotting (for really fast turns), flexibility, endurance, and overall strength. Also work out in the gym if you need to. Also if you have Pilate's classes any were near you take some. Pilate's helps gain muscles without looking like you are on steroids (bunk) and stretch you out if you are short. And make sure you can yell not like scream yell but that everyone can hear you. Finally DO NOT PUSH YOURSELF REALLY HARD! If you try to exercise a lot you Will be exhausted and tired. Pilate's helps to relax and prevent injury from over working but don't push it!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Take up gymnastics!!!! Become flexible. Being flexible will get you far in high school cheerleading. Some girls used to get picked just because they could do splits.
Besides that, LEARN your schools routines and cheers. You also need to know how to do jumps and kicks extremely well.
If I was you, I would try to befriend some cheerleaders because cheerleading in high school is based off popularity anway.

Take it from a girl who was a cheerleader for 12 years. If you want to make the squad you want to learn to do cartwheels, jumps, kicks, and most of all...how to be stiff and loud during cheers...check out the united cheerleading association web site, they usually have tons of stuff there to help you out, i've worked with them before and they are wonderful!

Tumbling instructions are over rated. They coach you the type to bounce in my view i might ot take them. it would desire to take months previously you have something nailed down examples..back flips flips etc. To be greater versatile in simple terms stretch alot that's what I do conventional.attempt to take a walk or run for a a million/2 and hour conventional carry out a little sit down up and push-united statesthese will You provide help to plenty too. wish this facilitates good luck:)

I would take a gymnastics class. Some places have a program that will teach you basic tumbling like back flips, round offs, back tucks. You could also take a hip hop or jazz dance class. But the gymnastics will help a lot they will also help you with stretching and things.
