Alright Balls are definately the coolest and are even better for a novice...The ball has a more docile tempermant and if held frequently are not sqirmy at all...Corns tend to snip a little and move fastttt....The only big ball downfall, is the ball must always have a comfortable living temperature...However, I am partial and believe the ball will be wonderful!!

i in my view choose the ball python over the corn snake. Ball pythons are reluctant to chew and are often very placid. they're super snakes for first time snake vendors. they often get everywhere between 3-5 feet in length, and require a minimum of a 20 gallon tank with the ideal heating, etc. although, it is your determination on which snake you like ultimate. in simple terms confirm which you do a super type of gaining knowledge of on the snake which you're desirous to purchase, and ask the shop workers or breeder of the snake's habitat standards, feeding, etc. One actuality to be made, ball pythons DO have tooth, yet as I stated, they're reluctant to chew and whilst they sense threatened or worried, they'll curl up right into a ball.

Wow thats a hard one!! but ya i have a redtail boa and a corn and in my opinion if you wanted a smaller not so tame snake go for corn if your limited on space or summtin like that. Yet the pythong would be great to there beautiful and get really big so be careful about that but i think i would go with a python i think they have alot more personality and alot more loving and way better looking in my opinion

corn snakes die alot mine only lasted 2 years
but my ball python is about 7 years and the only proplems i ever have with it is eating but hw usally eats every 2 to 3 weeks

and ive never been bit by my ball python only when he was a baby

corn snakes have a better chance of bitting

ive been bit about 10 times by my old corn snake

but it really dont hurt

make sure to do your research first

have fun with your new snake

I'd definitely would say a corn snake they are rated the #1 snake for children , if you have any. they are more docile and don't mind being handled at all... they are tame if you are looking for a bad *** kinda snake that may bite then get a ball python lol!

For most people a corn snake is better. A ball python will get big enough to eat rabbits, and need a really big enclosure.

both are good snakes and can be good first snakes look up the care they need and pick the one you can provide the care for. if you can care for both then pick the one you like more handle a few corns and ball pythons. get the one you want

I've had both and I can honestly say that I prefer corns over ball pythons. It's not that one is necessarily cooler or better than the other, but I really preferred the sociability of my corn over that of my ball.
