I haven't opened my heart to anyone for a long time..but, he is slowing grabbing hold of it..and I'm not sure if I should give him a chance by giving him access to it..what should I do???

But pick me pick me...No ...I wouldn't do it unless you feel your ready to...take a step back and look at things a bit closer.

opening ure heart up to someone online- is not the best thing to do. but if u feel comfortable with this guy, and u think he is sincere then open it up a bit but not anything more than that. i wish u the best of luck.

Slow down and assess the situation; talk it out and weigh your pros and cons. How well do you know this person? Can you trust them? What intentions are in focus, anything undermined? Don't be afraid to ask questions, you need to know where you stand and have the courage to remain objective. I hope this helps, speaking from experience, so I do understand what you speak of.

Do you know his name? do you know how he looks like? how long have you been in contact? do you know something about him? if you don't then why open your heart to someone who doesn't have enough trust to meet you face to face or show his face? trust me, there is only two kind of people you should open your heart to, a priest and a friend whom you are absolutely (100%) certain you can trust, the won't disappoint you even in the worst possible case, a person that you are sure is you soul mate, and these kind of people are extremely rare(1 in a 1.000.000) so my advice is no.

I may be biased, but don't open up too much. Just enough to discover what possibilities lie ahead. Unfortunately, the girl I did that with turned out to be a liar.

If you go into it with your "eyes wide open"....
then MAYBE... opening your heart is what you need to do for YOU!!
This is a pretty "safe" venue in my opinion!

If you only talk to him online I would be careful. I talked to a guy for a month and started to like him and when i talked to him on the phone for the first time he asked me more questions about my daughter then he did me. IT was very freaky!
