ok well im 13... and everyone i see has a cellphone kids in school.. anyone... and i want one really bad... first they said no then i heard them talking about it.. so i asked again then they said no.. and it was near christmas yesterday i had to put all the presents under the tree
and i dont think i found any trace of a cellphone last year i wanted a labtop and they said no but on christmas day i had one so is it possible that they got me a cellphone?? but there hiding it ?

Could be! but if not dont worry, just talk to them, and make them understand the reasons that u "NEED" a cellphone! if ur jst tryin to be cool coz all ur frndz have I WOULD BUY IT FOR U !!!
Plus i think 13 is too young to own a cellphone!

First of all, you should think if your folks have the cash to buy you a cell phone. Maybe they don't.
If they do, you could just use some logic, instead of whining, and tell them that if you have a mobile home, they can ALWAYS reach you, ask what are you doing any minute of the day, when are you getting home, and tell you that perhaps you should buy milk and bread on your way home.
They could call you when you are kissing your girlfriend or hanging out with your friends, and embarass you like hell.
(Don't even think about rejecting a call, or not answering! You don't need the "I gave you a phone, you must answer, and what were you doing, why didn't you heard the phone?" - discussion. trust me, it's not worth it.)
Considering all this, if you STILL want a cell phone, you must be out of your mind :)). It;s like wearing a wire and a GPS locator all the time, and the FBI listening to you around the clock, knowing your every move.
However, if you STILL want a cell phone, you must remember that in 6 months your brand new mobile will be old news, and every rich kid will laugh at you (and NO, there is no chance in hell you will get a second mobile, before your 18th birthday).
Remember that your folks will pay for your cell phone, and at the end of EVERY month you willl have a big fight about "using your cell phone too much, the atrocious bills, and with whom have you talked a FULL 10 minutes ?!?!. Do you not know that cell phones give you brain cancer ?"
If you STILL want a cell phone you should go the "but mom, think that i will be able to call you if i get in trouble. Like Hospital/Police/Bad guys trouble. I may be bleeding in a dark alley with no means to call you. That is why i need a mobile.
That may very well work.

Wait until after Christmas and see what happens. If they didn't get you one, go to plan B:
Show a great deal of responsibility in doing your schoolwork, chores, etc. Keep all curfews and break no rules. After a month or so, approach them again. Point out that there are few public phones anymore (true since phone companies took them out because most people have cell phones now!), and if anything happens and you need to reach them, a cell phone would be a good thing to have. Promise to keep it turned off during classes at school and use it responsibly.
Look into different plans for families.... get the prices and show that you've done a good job on the research. Suggest the top 2 or 3 plans that you feel would work well for you and be a good price.

I totally hate that when parents say that word! When I wanted a cell [still dont have one] they asked me why do i need it so........ tell youre parents why you need it but dont say things like to talk with my friends that will only make it worse try telling them that u are ready to have a cellphone and try to say like ill only waste this much minutes or money........ but im pretty sure youll get one for christmas because of the laptop :)

in the experience that your bus end isn't seen out of your domicile-this plan will artwork completely! So after the bus drops you off at your end, wait for extra or less 10-quarter-hour. Then start up jogging lower back. you're dad and mom would be apprehensive after which you will say: it somewhat is why i desire a cellular telephone in case this occurs! Tadahh, and you gets a cellular telephone. and you gets those loose telephones once you sign in for a clean settlement!

Remind them that there are "GO" phones out there.
Disney has a phone out there that the parents can monitor how much time you can be on the phone and know where you are at.

Chances are they did get you one...but also remind them that if you ride on the school bus and something happens, you can call them if you have a cell phone.

Maybe you should write them a letter about how bad you want it and maybe about what youll do for it and how good youve been. It worked for me when I wnated a puppy and Im 14.

put it on ur christmas list(like # 1) , let them know there are cells out there that they can moniter ur activitied and let them know ur reposnable enough by not bugging them about it afterwards, this will show them u can be mature enough to own one and eventually they will let u get a cell phone...

go out one night and dont come back till about an hour after you said you would come back.and say that you got lost,and if you had a cell phone you could have telled them where you were.
