Michael Jordan is very famous in Europe. So famous, posters of him playing basketball sell at sporting good stores. Also he's popular to a lesser extent in Japan. As far as Tyson he held the title as heavyweight champion of the world, but in many ways it was like the World Series. Not many other countries got involved with the title.

Equally famous, the difference is Jordan has a good rep and Tyson does not.

They are both global, so its just a matter of degrees. Who is respected more as a person. I think we all know who that is.
