Run is a command given to start/execute a program. And download is the same as "save the file to the computer u r working on rytnow"...so on the internet when u come across this situation asked by the computer...and u press download---the computer will get a copy of the file and save it to ur computer's hard disk, so that u can see the file even when u r offline..whereas if u choose "run"...computer will try to execute or open the file directly from the internet and u wont be able to execute it again once u r offline.

When you 'Run' it, it saves the file to Temporary Internet Files then runs it. When you 'Save\Download' it, you choose where to put it.

I'm not exactly sure, but I think "Run" would mean it would run a program. If you download something, it like saves it to your computer.

Run will temporarily store the file and then attempt to open/execute the file

download will save the file to a permanent location of your choice so you can open/execute at a time of your choice.

download is for storing the file/program on your computer for future use or whatnot...

run is for running the application (mostly used when installing a program such as an antivirus or whatever)... and not storing it on the computer
