Midol, Pamprin, a heating pad, warm bathe. stay off the caffeine as this might improve the discomfort for some reason. Drink lots of water and workout (attempt walking for 15 to twenty minutes quickly).

You could try going on the pill. I used to have 10 day long periods and cramping so bad that it was hard to walk, but after I started on the pill all periods symptoms disappeared and my periods only last about 5 days now.

heat patches help with cramping a lot and they make you feel so much better. they stay warm for 8 hours and you can wear them under your clothes so no one know that you have it on. some days that is the only reason i made it to work. they sell them at wal-mart in the feminine section.

try to not do too much on the first and second day.. especially first day.. its best to just be lazy.. lay down or just chill at home.. putting ur feet up helps lower back pain... drinking milk helps
reduce crankiness.. and a warm shower... a quick one.
