it means that the person is still typing i had the same problem so don't feel like u are the only person who is having trouble but then my friend told me so now i know

It means the person you're talking to is currently typing a message.

it means they are either typing or have entered the text meaning sent... come on it's common sense...

it means that they have typed something, but aren't typing anymore and haven't hit the "enter" button.
