all clothes dryers need to be vented outside due to the fumes from the combustion that make the heat. each case is unique. i do not recommend venting into an attic, especially in cold climates as this can cause numerous other problems including mold and rotting of your roofing materials.if you have any doubts in your own abilities, it is cheaper in the long run to just pay a professional $150 than to cost yourself thousands. if you are confident in your abilities, Home Depot or Lowes both have diy books that can walk you step by step through the process.

Each one is different, if it is a gas dryer make sure you get expert to do the job.

Electric can also make people sick from fumes and from built up of fungus and mill dew.

You should have a book from the manufacturer to do this job per their instructions.
