His originated from the christian Saint, Bishop Nicholas of Myra. There were many Saint Nicholas' who carried on the act of giving to those in need as the Bishop did, and it trickled down to what we know today as Santa Claus

because of all the idiots who waste their cash at this time of the year i cant see what is so special about Christmas it is just one more day on the calendar like the rest after all every month has a 25th so what is so special about December
